One Day At A Time Wallpaper

Said.for the larger flowers on the wall, did you use a special sized butcher paper or the standard kind? The directions say to use squares, and if it is the usual kind of butcher paper i am thinking of, the flowers wouldnt come out as large as they look on the floral wall for the shoot. Or, is it unnecessary to use perfect squares because we can still make them out of rectangular cuts?i'm really looking forward to making a floral wall in my room now! Thanks so much for sharing with us!

Only more reason to love ruche! Said.Hi Mai,Thanks for all the tips. How lovely for you to share! I found your sight from Mia Joie and loved the old book idea. The first time I saw something like that I was at the Anthropologie in SoHo about 10 years ago.

When I saw yours it inspired me to do the technique for my Once upon a time collection. We took book pages and glued them to 4 sheets of blueprint paper and now have a portable backdrop. I do kids clothes so the size is perfect for little ones. I love your site, you have such a gift for merchandising and buying, it is truly your calling!Cheers to you! Thanks.

Said. The wainscoting was actually done by a collective effort by Stephanie's husband Isaac, and my husband, Josh. They said it was pretty simple if you have a miter saw, level, ruler, and nails. Its like making picture frames and nailing them to the wall.I think removing the bookpages might require a little work. We will peel most of it off, then use a warm water soaked sponge to loosen up the corn starch. The corn starch comes off fairly clean, but I think the wall should be re-painted after anyway.A few of our friends used the pinwheel flowers as backgrounds for their engagement shots too, the pictures came out really nice too! They set up the background on their garage door and waited for the sun to come up.Hope that helps =)-Mai. Anonymoussaid.I appreciate what you offer on this site, but I must object to your use of the 'old books' for your project.

I question the sanity and mentality of anybody who thinks that turning old books, and possibly classics into some crappy art is justifiable. You people who do these things have no respect for things other people would value for what they are. It is the saddest commentary on our society I can possibly think of. I wish you would not promote the destruction of books. There are people in the world, including myself, who would have loved to rescue the books you sacrificed for your project. Said.To whom it may concern,We are sorry you took so much offense to our post of using 'old books' and turning them into wall paper art.

We didn't think anyone would miss books on tax laws or other mass printed books. We carefully selected which books would be used for wallpaper, and which ones would be kept in tact. In particular the books that were used as shelves are still in perfectly readable condition, and believe it or not, we do enjoy browsing through them during our breaks. To our readers and friends who stop by our blog, we ask you too, carefully choose which books you use for your walls.Thanks,Ruche.

Said.I've worked at a public library, a Barnes & Noble, and an independent bookstore. Each threw books into dumpsters. There are just some books that no-one wants, despite how sentimental we are.At the public library, unwanted books mostly went to the prison system. But old Reader's Digest collections, technical manuals, periodicals, mass markets, etc.

Were dumped every day. Same deal at the used bookstore. At Barnes & Noble, it was just Mass Markets. Lots and lots of mass markets, stripped of their covers and put in dumpsters.I don't work with books anymore (I have a clothing store, now), but I still go to my local libraries book sale.

At the end they let you fill up paper bags of books for $1 each - I always grab all the atlases for craft projects.I think your wall art is beautiful! Said.I'm halfway done covering my ceiling in these pages. Thank you so much for the inspiration!A note on making the wallpaper paste with corn starch. No need to slowly add hot tap water as the instructions say. Just mix all the starch with cold tap water and whisk. The cold water doesn't cause the starch to congeal.

Then follow the rest of the instructions as shown. And for smaller projects is so easy to cut the proportions in half so you don't end up with tons of paste.I'll post pics when its all done.

I just wanted to do a quick update here. Everything going well with knee, I walked 2.43 miles one day last week.

I wasn't going for that far, but I forgot how many laps I had done! So now I take a piece of chalk with me and make a mark on the gate! Old age is great, isn't it? Yesterday I did 2 miles and it was over 80° so that wasn't bad but I was a bit shaky when I got back. I had taken a frozen bottle of water with me and thought it would thaw enough so I could get a drink after each lap but it didn't work that way!

My husband has been working so hard on getting the trees down and cut up that blew over during our northeaster. Our son has helped when he can.but my husband is 83 and is working too hard.

I have been going out and making him shut it down in the afternoon, though. He also worked 3 days on a woman's car that has over 300,000 miles on it. I know darn well she can afford to buy a better car but it is much cheaper to have my hubby work his butt off for 3 days in the heat to fix it. I wish I could get him to tell people he is done working on cars but.he is just too darn good hearted. Now to Father's Day.

I hope everyone let's their Father know they love him and are happy is he is still around. The pictures on the top of my blog are pictures of my Dad. Pretty good looking guy. He was hard working and wish he could have stayed around longer but he was a smoker all his life and it caught up with him. He got depressed because he couldn't get around very good and with his health it was one thing after another. He decided he didn't want to be around any longer, leaving my Mom heart broken. I understood how he felt, though and forgave him.

I will be thinking about him this Sunday. We are having very nice weather this week so I have been able to go walking every day. Monday we went to Whatcom Falls Park and did some hiking and I 'did' the stairs. I don't know how many there are as I was watching my steps, but I haven't been able to walk up stairs normally for over 20 years. So going through all the pain and physical therapy was worth it. I am walking about 1 1/2 miles and riding the exercise bike 20 minutes everyday.

If it is nice! I am a fair weather walker so won't go out when it is rainy and blowing!

I was on the phone for a half hour yesterday with Xfinity getting a new package and trying to save some money. We have been with them since 1980 so you would think we would get some kind of loyalty discount, wouldn't you? Well we don't. I had to downsize our package just to keep the bill about the same price it has been for 2 years.

Plus they keep charging more for the boxes, and the taxes go up. It gets a bit too much.we sure don't get more income. It gets harder and harder for senior citizens to live anymore. I know it is for us. But the cost of living goes up for everyone so we aren't alone!

As you are aware I am updating all of my themes.anyway most of them. Some that are very popular I don't want to change it for the users so I am making a Version 2 for the users that don't want those faded looking toolbars. I came across this one I made awhile ago and thought it would be perfect for Mother's Day! I adore the looks on their faces.I also thought it would be a reminder for you to call or visit your Mother and Grandmothers. Even if it is one you haven't been in contact with lately.give her a call.

Let her know you are thinking about her. Well, I am back with a brand new knee. What daw does deadmau5 use in masterclass.

It has been 6 weeks and it was pretty tough for awhile. But with family and hard work I got through it and walk without a limp now! I still have a lot of pain or ache.whatever you want to call it. But I am not taking pain medication, except naproxen sodium and acetaminophen. The only time I took the oxy the surgeon prescribed was when I was in the hospital and before Physical Therapy classes. I graduated from that on Wed. I have to do exercises at home at least once a day now.it was twice a day.

I can go down to 3 times a week over time. But I am back riding my exercise bike every day and started going for walks again.

I love the way the new/updated themes look because you can see the entire design. I even removed the search bar on my Firefox so it doesn't cover the theme. I just use the Home page to search. But for you that have an older theme that you loved and used all the time, please email me the title and I can re-submit it so it will look like the original theme. I have saved most of my themes. It is just a matter of IF I can find it. Sometimes I have to change the title of the theme because there is another one with the same title, or I just decide I like a different title than what I gave it when I made it.

Computer Wallpapers With Time

I once said I never wanted a computer, BUT.one of my grandson's is in the IT Department at WWU and installed Firefox when he built my desktop computer. I really like it and won't use any other browser now. It is safe, fast and has tons of extensions to make it easy for your browsing. One of the add ons they have available are themes which they used to call Personas.

Screensaver Time Day Date

They had been called Personas for several years and became very popular, but someone at Mozilla got the bright idea to change the name. Whatever you want to call them they are still a fun quick way to make your browser personal. You can find my Persona/Theme designs at:I make desktop wallpaper designs to match many of my themes, which you can use as background themes for GMail. You can also use them as a wallpaper for your cell phone.

You can find my desktop wallpaper designs at:I have been making theme designs for my own personal Firefox ever since it was installed. Then it was opened so you could submit designs for approval in 2008. My design called Sunset Over Water had over a million and a half people using it at one time. It is from a photo I took off Chuckanut Drive on our way home from a wedding.I have always been interested in design.

When I was a little girl I designed clothing for my paper dolls. Then designed and made clothes for my regular dolls. I made most of my own clothing in high school. When I was older I designed, sewed and made our 3 kids clothing.

When they got married and started having babies I made tons of clothes for our 7 grand kids. I decided to sell some of my designs. Fibromyalgia decided to put a stop to that. Sewing for hours a day was just too much.I am a bit of an over-achiever and when I start something, I don't know when to quit! I have done a little bit of sewing for our great grand kids, but I know I have a limit and when to stop.I used to design and make jewelry and sold at bazaars which was a lot of fun.I work on themes and desktop wallpaper designs almost every day and have enjoyed hearing from people all over the world.I was asked to design themes for Brand Thunder. They have theme designs for people that use Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari and also Firefox.

I won a Nexus 7 tablet on a pop culture contest they held. They have changed their format so I don't make designs for them anymore.I now use Photoshop Elements to make my designs.

It is a very complicated program to use, especially at my age of almost 80.Thank you all for your comments and using my designs. I will keep making them as long as I can and people enjoy using them.
