An integral part of the program is based at the Behavioral Health Center of the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, an academic medical center of New York Medical College.The Behavioral Health Center is affiliated with several institutions in Westchester County and New York City which provide residency training and undergraduate medical education in psychiatry. In addition, New York Medical College affords a full complement of continuing medical education programs for practicing psychiatrists.Clinical challenges that residents may encounter cover a wide range of inpatient and outpatient, adult, adolescent, and child psychiatry services, as well as subspecialty areas including consultation-liaison, geriatrics, emergency and crisis intervention.
