Malibu Disconnect Depth Finder
My boat is a Triton 2000 model. I can see the transducer on the trolling motor and it appears to be perfectly in line with the bottum of the lake. I do not know where the hull transducer is and I don't know if the GPS and x48 are both running off the same transducer or if they could. I assume the sonars are powered by the cranking battery and I have no issues with cranking the motor over so the battery shouldn't be the problem. All the units power up fine and all. If the sonars are powered by the trolling batteries then that wouldn't be likely either as both batteries are brand new.
I'm going to take it out this weekend and see what else I can figure out. According to the manuals on the Lowrance x48 and x75, the units should go into auto mode when fired up.

Thanks for the help! I guess I was thinking that it was indeed a removable transducer mount that I could store out of the way when I was dragging the kayak or not using the fish finder. This is my first time using a fish finder so I'm new to everything about it, but I just thought that the mount would just slide in and out without much effort.
