Legacy Of The Void Campaign Units
Hey everybody, remember when they revealed that a lot of the units in the Protoss arsenal will have different variants to them in the Legacy of the Void campaign? Those will be divided through 4 different Protoss factions, and you'll be able to pick your load-out in between missions.

Each unit has 3 variations, which means not every unit has a variation from each faction. Each variation alters a unit with a specific role, changing its function, which allows you to adapt the unit to your play style. The 4 factions are:1. Khalai/Aiur (The original golden Protoss we all know and love)2. Nerazim (Dark Templar, basically. They use a Blue-ish silver scheme, sometimes with blue, sometimes with green highlights)3. Tal'darim (Xel'Naga and Amon worshippers (They used to work with Ulrezaj and Duran/Narud, as well), they join you later on in the campaign, after you kill their leader.
The color scheme for Tal'darim units is dark grey/black, with red and green highlights)4. Purifiers (Sentient robots created and abandoned by the Protoss aboard a space station. They are found and reactivated during the campaign, joining you in the fight against Amon.
The Disruptor and Mothership Core are actually Purifier AIs acting as an individual military unit. Their units' color scheme is white, with orange highlights.)That being said, each base unit has different variants. Sometimes they vary more, sometimes less, than the base unit. There are 10 confirmed units with alternate variations. Zealot and Stalker are 100% confirmed.

The Purifiers have me so excited, you have no idea. Fuck, 2000, 2001? I came up with an idea for Starcraft 2 where there would be a new faction. A faction of sentient robots that were created in ancient times by the Protoss and forgotten. It is so close to my idea that I feel like Blizzard jumped into my head and grabbed it.I really hope we see a Dark Archon and a Super Carrier. You posted that Sentient Robot idea of BlizzForums, right? Because so many ideas from those forums made it in SC2.
Legacy Of The Void Best Campaign Units
I recall coming up with the name 'Brutalisk' for a Zerg unit that's larger than the Ultralisk, back in April of 2007, and then lo-and-behold, WoL ships with one such unit. That's only the first that comes to mind, because I recall reading quite a few ideas and then seeing them pop up in the game later on (Another example: Nova and Spectres appearing in SC2).And I knwo how you feel, I wanna see Dark Archons, Super Carriers and Reavers make it into the campaign so badly.
I'd assume at least Reavers, maybe Arbiters and Super Carriers, too, would make it, because while also being Brood War units, they're also fan favorites that have been really requested (I think something was mentioned about Super Carriers being in LotV after the disappointment of only seeing mini-carriers in WoL) and they're ancient Aiur units, like the Dragoon, which, surprise, made it into LotV, with the rationale behind it being that an ancient Ark Ship containing such old tech, is found and reactivated early in the campaign. Dark Archons, well, we do visit Shakuras and we do get to see many DT variations of existing units, so I guess it's a given, as well.
